The Midfield Terminal Building complex comprising of central processes building and 4 Nos. PIERs accommodating up to 65 aircrafts, 49 Gate Houses 106 Passenger Boarding Bridges, passenger and cargo facilities, duty free shops, restaurants, 150 check-in counters, First and Business Class Lounges built on 700,000 Square meters’ area is one of the strategic infrastructure projects constructed in Abu Dhabi with capacity to handle 30 million passengers per year. The terminal will be the home of Etihad Airways. The terminal installed with state-of-the-art baggage handling system with a capacity to handle over 19,000 bags per hour consisting 10 reclaim carousels and 28 km of conveyors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible in implementation and monitoring of the entire electrical work on the site and ensure that all works are done according to approved shop drawings, contract specifications and in compliance with standards and ADDC regulations.
Carry out inspections raised through official Inspection and Test Request (ITR) with appropriate approved shop drawings, Method Statement (MS), Quality Control Procedure (QCP) and Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
Responsible to carry Material Verification (MVR) Inspection on materials received from contractor for all items ensure that same materials have been delivered which are approved through MAR by senior discipline engineer and free from any manufacture defects and transportation damages.
Ensure materials used on site are already inspected through MVR.
Issuing Non Conformance Report (NCR) if non conformity related to material, project specification or quality of work observed.
Monitoring site activities to ensure the quality of work complies with standard practice.
Witnessing test carried out by third party/ Independent Test Lab.
Involved in preparation of weekly progress report and discussing with construction supervisor if any foreseen slippage of progress and proposing necessary action.
Coordinating and sorting the issues with Mechanical Engineers if on site any electrical services are clashing with mechanical services.
Review and recommending for approval payment claimed by contractor at the end of the month by comparing contractors claim against actual work done on site.
Audit contractor store to verify that all materials are handled and stored as per manufacturer’s recommendations.
Preparing site verification report prior to ADDC inspection to meet the project target date for achieving the permanent power and energization.
