Project Description

The project Williams Sonoma Order management system – DTC aims to monitor and maintain the Order Entry Management Application for DTC (Direct to Customer) System comprising channels like ecommerce, Phone Orders, Mail Orders, Associate (employee) orders and orders originating from Store for which the fulfilment is made through Distribution Centres. Sterling Commerce Distributed Order Management System is used for inventory management functions. Phone Orders and General or Mail Orders are entered directly into the DTC systems through order entry screens while Orders from OFOS (Online Furniture Ordering System), RTC (Retail to Customer) and e-Send flow from Retail Stores to DTC Systems through interfaces. New interface was build to bypass DTC and fulfil all orders directly through Sterling system. Legacy system (i-Series) no longer is being used.

Role and Responsibilities

Requirement gathering and analyzing business requirements as per business effectively played key tester role and was responsible for overall testing process.

Reviewed test specifications and cases, written by others for coverage and completeness in order to improve test quality and effectiveness of the whole Software Development Lifecycle.

Involved in enhancing the automation test framework using Selenium and Java

The client is manufacturer of medical devices and supplies providing surgical Solutions, Vascular Therapies, Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions and Medical Supplies. We provide support required for BPCS ERP product in this project. We had involved in requirement analysis with the development team and the business team to understand the requirements. Execute the test cases manually in ERP AS/400 based platform. Tracked, reviewed, and reported all the encountered application defects in an effectively manner.

Project Description

The WSI, Inc. has multiple payment acceptance channels; there is a risk of handling sensitive data and also the compliance burdens. WSI wants to reduce the scope of PCI Compliance by replacing the Credit Card number in all WSI systems with a token that is of no value to cybercriminals. Tokenization is a process where the Credit card numbers are converted to tokens where it is impossible to get back the credit card number using the token i.e. it is irreversible.

Payment card tokenization will serve the purpose of converting the CC to tokens/hash. Tokens can be used by Sales Audit, Loss Prevention, Marketing for tracing sales and matching customers, just as they would today with credit card numbers.

In the project Williams Sonoma Production Support –an Onsite-Offshore development model is used to manage and support day to day activities concerning the Application including the monitoring of various Batch jobs that run on AS/400 boxes and resolve issues, if any. Bug-fixes, Developments and Enhancements are requested by the client as well as initiated by Cognizant adhering to SLA agreed upon by the client and Cognizant. The project aims to furnish Care Center users of the client with issueless interfaces for Order Entry as well as smooth functioning of other aspects of Order Entry Management System including Order Editing, Order Extraction and Invoicing.

Role and Responsibilities

Respond to tickets raised by business users in Service-Now.

Analyze the tickets and investigate the root cause. Provide workarounds if any.
