• CSWA – Simulation (Dassault Systems)

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Concurrent Engineering of Mechanical insulator for Power Monitoring Circuit Jan 2020 – April 2020

• A project work conducted by parallel works of two electronic team with a mechanical team.

• Power monitoring history of household equipment’s can be monitored by a WIFI accessible device.

• Build a prototype of clamp shell design for the circuits was project goal and ABS was given material.

• Initial CAD design was made in solid works which hade Nema 5-15 sockets and thermal vents.

• Structural analysis for withstanding the pull load of cable and thermal analysis for heat distribution was performed.

• Complete model was 3D printed with 85% of infill by using MakerBot to obtain required strength. Reverse Engineering of Vacuum Cleaning Equipment and characteristic enhancement Sept 2019 – Dec 2019

• Dyson Ball 2 vacuum cleaner was reverse engineered and various critical dimensions on the product was studied.

• Enhanced the handling capacity of the equipment by replacing with adjustable handle with simple slide lock mechanism to make it feasible to handle.

• Entire CAD rendering was performed on NX-CAD along with appropriate Drawing by parent child relationship. Dissection and Design analysis of Roller skateboard Sept 2018 – Dec 2018

• Roller skateboard was taken from the market for dissection analysis and was disassembled.

• Reverse Engineering process was carried out and was CAD modelled in Solid works.

• Static structural analysis was carried out in ANSYS workbench for rigidity and flexural modulus analysis.

• Life Cycle Analysis was performed to study the environmental effects for production.

• DFMEA report was considered as well DFM was made for mass manufacturing. Combustion Chamber Redesign and Exhaust Gas Control Nov 2016 – May 2017

• 5KW – 4 Stroke Diesel Engine was considered as the test ring for the experimentation process.

• Combustion study for the current Hemispherical combustion chamber was considered.

• Hexagonal design was made in place of hemispherical cross section in combustion chamber to study the flow.

• CFD analysis was conducted on the new design and found the flow to be more vortex velocity which enhances pure combustion properties.

• Diesel along with Jojoba oil B20(80:20) was made as the fuel to reduce the amount of exhaust property.

• Cyclic efficiency of 3% in increase and HC, NOx, HC was subsequently reduced. SAE Baja All Terrain Vehicle Design Feb 2016 – Feb 2017

• Design of All terrain vehicle by team of 25 Members for national level condition which will be tested for endurance and suspension road tracks.

• Assigned the role of Lead Chassis Design where have to lead a team of 5 for designing the roll cage of the vehicle.

• Reduced the weight of the chassis from 45 kgs to 25 kgs to make the design compact.

• It was analysed for all conditions like static, roll over, bump and torsion using ANSYS workbench.

• The real time manufactured part was almost the same weight as predicted and since material was chrome steel it prevents corrosion as well as strength where it is TIG welded.
