Senior Project Manager - Major Projects overall responsibility for a $170MM Oil Sands project at the Ft. MacMurray, Alberta, Canada facility. Responsibility included completion and closeout of Front End Engineering Design (FEED), kickoff of STAGE 4 Detailed engineering, and Integration of portions of the engineering into a Work Share Order with HVE (High Value Engineering) office in China. First company project with work share using an HVE. Developed and managed the PEP (Project Execution Plan) and Assisted with HRSG and structural steel design input. Interfaced with the on-site Siemens representatives regarding progress and issues with their equipment. Directly supervised the GC and steel erection contractors. Successfully turned project from a potential financial loss to a no cost budget increase with minimal schedule delay, to a cost breakeven with minimal schedule delay. Ensured that safety and quality standards were enforced. Negotiated contractor claims from 10MM to 2.5MM.

Oversaw 490MW peaking project, consisting of a 10—unit simple cycle gas turbine power plant with water injection. Project also consisted of environmental waste water evaporation ponds, canal system for water supply and water treatment. Controlled a $75MM direct budget, indirectly managed a budget of $265MM.
