Overall project responsibility for a First of a Kind, Gasification Technology being used under licensing agreements from client. Accountable for project proposal and negotiations which lead to an executed EPC contract. Worleyparsons Canada Services LTD (COSYN), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada 3/2012 – 7/2014

Senior Project Manager - Major Projects overall responsibility for a $170MM Oil Sands project at the Ft. MacMurray, Alberta, Canada facility. Responsibility included completion and closeout of Front End Engineering Design (FEED), kickoff of STAGE 4 Detailed engineering, and Integration of portions of the engineering into a Work Share Order with HVE (High Value Engineering) office in China. First company project with work share using an HVE. Developed and managed the PEP (Project Execution Plan) and Assisted with HRSG and structural steel design input. Ensured both client and Cosyn contract policies and procedures were utilized. Reviewed and approved shop drawings, final design documents, and issued for construction documents (IFC). Provided power industry input to the project design. Responsible for budget development and control as well as the TIC (Total Installed Cost) estimate. Project Schedule development including a portion for the work share partners activities. Helped host the China delegation’s visit to COSYN. Developed and customized the WEP (Workshare Execution Plan) as well as a template for the Work Release Packages (WRP’s) to be used in controlling and monitoring the Work share partner’s portion of the project with HVE. Fire Protection Refurbish/upgrade Project

Additionally, responsible for the Design Basis Document, Detailed Engineering Deliverables, Procurement, Quality and Construction Work Packages for a two unit Coker Fire Protection System. Approved all expenditures/charges for procurement, construction and engineering managed a remote fire protection office design.

Also served as Project Manager including interfacing with client’s third-party contractor on a major Co-Generation/Dredging project being installed at the Ft. MacMurray, Alberta oil sands facility. Responsibilities included coordinating the clients archive retrieval of document packages for the third-party contractor and the design by COSYN. Hosted a Kick-off meeting with the third party contractor and developed procedures to cover engineering, quality, document control, billing and reporting. Assumed overall project responsibility for remaining 40% of a $465MM, 600 MW CCPP. Project consisted of 2- Siemens Gas Turbines and steam turbine, Vogt HRSGs and related equipment. Interfaced with the on-site Siemens representatives regarding progress and issues with their equipment. Directly supervised the GC and steel erection contractors. Successfully turned project from a potential financial loss to a no cost budget increase with minimal schedule delay, to a cost breakeven with minimal schedule delay. Ensured that safety and quality standards were enforced. Negotiated contractor claims from 10MM to 2.5MM.

Oversaw 490MW peaking project, consisting of a 10—unit simple cycle gas turbine power plant with water injection. Project also consisted of environmental waste water evaporation ponds, canal system for water supply and water treatment. Controlled a $75MM direct budget, indirectly managed a budget of $265MM.

Project completed 45 days ahead of schedule and $6MM under budget.
