OBJECTIVE To work in the field of new construction projects, repair and remodeling either through my own business or as an employee with supervisory and general contractor capabilities. Through forty-two (42) years of hands-on experiences I have learned to coordinate the largest of jobs so that people, materials and work continue to move at a steady pace towards completion. Also during this time period I have learned many trades that have benefited my customers and have allowed me to have hands-on experience with just about anything found on a jobsite.
EMPLOYMENT 1977 – Worked at cabinet shop where I learned to build customer cabinets and EXPERIENCE countertops.
1978 – Worked M&M Lumber in Tulsa, OK for 3 years. Moved to Union Building Materials for 2 years.
1983 – Started my own business doing framing, siding, and interior trim. In my business I hired all my subcontractors and served as superintendent over my own jobs.
1990 – Superintendent in Denver, CO while still building my own business from the ground up and learning every phase of the jobs. 1997 – New Bern, NC worked as general Contractor working personally with all subs and customers. Continued to perform many hands on contractor tasks, which has led me to acquire many job references. Superintendent on several million- dollar jobs. Maintained all paperwork, continued to do hands-on field work, supervised subcontractors, responsible for payroll, satisfied all building inspectors, secured all work permits and obtained all certificates of occupancies. 2001 – Superintendent of Palmetto Development in Myrtle Beach for 3 years. While here I supervised 5 ongoing jobs at one time, several of which were multi- million dollar jobs, while still maintaining my own business. At this time my business had grown to building cabinets, countertops; installing all manners of vertical and horizontal tile; framing wood and metal; trimming; complete sheet rock work; roofing of many different materials; painting, etc. All jobs worked through my own business were done so from start to finish. 1.
2008 – Moved from Myrtle Beach back to New Bern, NC to be near family. I continued building my own business overseeing all subcontractors to ensure all deadline and cost projections were met. Superintendent and contractor of JB/GB Properties where I managed a 10-man crew. Supervised and contracted several jobs and all associated subcontractors, consisting of such listed trades: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpet, painting interior and exterior, etc. Start to finish exterior siding jobs of vinyl, wood, hardy, and metal. Multiple complete bath and kitchen remodels. New construction of out buildings, docks, workshops, sheds, and single and multi- bay garages. Installed all types of fencing for residential and commercial properties. Personally pulled all permits, kept track of all job associated costs, deadlines and man-hours.
2014 – Personal business still growing. No job too large or too small. Chris Cole, All Purpose Construction, LLC. Continuing to perform all phases of construction to include interior or from the ground up. I have advanced my skills to include site plane, excavation; and, interior/exterior, commercial and residential concrete work. I have a good knowledge of today’s building and materials costs, as well as an understanding of the time required to complete many construction related tasks. I am willing to work with homeowners or project managers to resolve any construction concerns they may have during the build or after to ensure satisfaction. I am a self motivated individual that possesses the ability to perform most any task associated with construction from supervision, to hands-on, to time, cost, and people management. I have been working between 60 – 80 hours a week for well over 30 years, and will do what is necessary to ensure the job gets completed on time and within budget. I am proud to say that I am an honest, trust- worthy Christian that places Christ at the center of all I do while keeping you and your construction needs a priority.
2015-2016 – All Purpose Construction, LLC. Renovations; historical houses upgrades; and some commercial/tenant work.
2017-2019 – JB-GB Properties all historical; personal beach houses and office buildings; superintendent for grocery chain, and superintendent for Foundation Life Fellowship church on a commercial building.
EDUCATION Completed 11 years of High School from Pine Bluff, AR and Tulsa, OK The majority of my job-related knowledge has come through OJT (on the job training). Most of the skill I possess has been self taught and has served me well as there are truly not many forms of work that are construction related that I cannot perform well.

RELEVANT I believe my strengths to be loyalty, faithful, dependable, honest, hard worker, EXPERIENCE diligent, dedicated and committed. I have been in supervisory positions for many years and serve well in this capacity. I work well under pressure and am strong in the area of multi-tasking. I have always been a self-motivator and have worked very long weeks for as long as I can remember to include 60-80 hour work weeks. I enjoy doing interior trim work and building furniture for customers after hours. I have my own hand tools and possess many shop and specialized tools to complete most tasks. Some of these tools include; table saws, drills, reciprocating saws, miter saws, sanders, planers, drum sanders, routers, nail guns, compressors, air hoses, industrial extension cords, ladders, clamps, etc. I have been trained to run crews of people that want to work or can train people that want to learn. I possess the skill to perform all duties described or can share these tasks with crewmembers. I have worked with tile, sheet rock to include mud and taping, operate paint and finish sprayers, some electrical, some plumbing, framing, all types of siding, all types of interior trim, can make my own trim pieces, and have installed many forms of flooring. I also possess the ability to read blueprints. As you may well know, in the construction business you can be specific in your job duties or multi-functioning. I have always chosen to learn as much as I can and use the above mentioned abilities and many more too numerous to mention to ensure the homeowner/contractor gets the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible. I also possess a list of references to aid in protection and assurance for the homeowner/project manager.
HOBBIES/ Woodworking. Harley riding, Spending time with my family and serving in my INTEREST church.
PERSONAL • Single and lives alone.
• Mom & Dad lives in same city of New Bern that I live in.
• Oldest brother and sister-in-law also lives in New Bern and their two children and three grandchildren reside in the area as well.
• I have a younger brother and older sister that both live out of state.
• I am 60 years young and am looking for a career, not just a job.
• My goal is a career where I can have the opportunity to use my mind and my hands with a definite opportunity for advancement.
