• Developing solutions for demand response (DR) management in smart buildings.
• Proposed MPC control techniques are implemented for energy management of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to reduce the power consumption and meet the occupant’s comfort while taking into account such restrictions as quality of service and operational constraints.
• Develope and implement admision control method that works with less poower capacity while meeting the desired comfort level over operation time.
• Develope and implement an algorithm to control ventilation system in buildings by controling the level of based on indoor carbon dioxide
• Work on peak load reduction as has a critical impact on the field of smart buildings energy management.
Work in different layers to build smart algorithms to control power consumption and ensure thermal comfort in building with less complexity.

verify the apply model predictive control (MPC) technique to a real system (real building) to improve energy efficiency and to reduce operational cost in buildings.
Apply the control scheme to thermal appliances to maintain the thermal comfort in the zone within a range around a certain setpoint while reducing the peak consumption
Find and validate a real building’s model to be used for the MPC design.
Achievement: Finding a thermal model of eight zones building on Sherbrook city and develop an algorithm to implement the MPC on the platform of the company to control the heating system.

Implement the Algorithm to reduce the peak power demand while regulating a heating system in a building and ensure the occupant’s comfort.
