Role: Devops Engineer

Product: Enterprise Cloud Billing (ECB)

Product Description:

Ericsson Enterprise & Cloud Billing is a next generation billing and settlement platform for any industry, any business model, any revenue stream and built on a metadata-driven architecture, whereby new services can be easily created, added to or used to replace an existing set of services. ECB is previously known as MetraNet. Environment: Puppet, Jenkins, Git, Azure, Powershell, Jira and Agile/Scrum. Roles and Responsibilities:

• Adding/Updating the files, Committing, merging, Push-Pull-Clone operations, branching, tagging and other source control tasks using Git.

• Used Jenkins as Continuous Integration tool and to setup automated and scheduled deployments for ECB in testing environment.

• Used Configuration Management Tool Puppet to automate system operations.

• Write puppet manifests for the ECB deployment in all environments and enhance puppet manifests and ERB templates based on the customer requirements.

• Deployed ECB through both puppet master and slave and master-less puppet methods.

• Maintained PHP website for Build status and to check the results of smoke test process.

• Creation of Virtual machines from VCAC, vSphere and from Azure templates using terraform.

• Used Azure cloud services like Resource Groups, Virtual machines and storage accounts.

• Identified bugs and interacted with developers to resolve them and provided full support to the development team.

• Follow project driven development processes and develop practices to deliver robust solution.

• Created highly-scalable distributed system for running Web applications and Web services by working with architects and developers.
