Mechanical Engineer Intern Placer Inspection Lab & Manufacturing Nov 2019 to Present Manufacturing (including Assembly/Sub-assembly Electronics & Medical Device, Consulting Prototypes), Machining, Engineered System Validation, Reverse Engineering, Mechanical Testing, designed a 3D model of Coil Winder using SOLIDWORKS and currently finishing up the assembly of Coil Winder.

Test Engineering Intern BamCore – Global Bamboo Technologies Jun 2019 to Aug 2019 Company Specializing in the design and manufacture of bamboo-based materials. My task was Mechanical Testing (Bending, Tension), including learning ASTM standards, Product Development, assisting in the preparation, execution, and analysis of multiple test methods. Designed a 3D model of Bending test rig support and 3D printed it using ABS plastic to get accurate test data and Material Tracking including reviewing tracking data and creating efficiency summaries by source and machine station.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE:

3D Printed Mask Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Mar 2020 to Present 3D printed highly effective filtration mask that can be fitted to the provider’s face and sanitized between uses. It was printed for Mercy General Hospital to help them fight with COVID-19.

Steam Engine Manufacturing Process Class Aug 2019 to Nov 2019 Sand casted parts and Operated lathes, drills, and Milling machines to create and assemble a model steam engine.

Gravity Light The Engineering Club (SRJC) Jan 2018 to Mar 2019 The Engineering Club Competition- On this project we were successfully able to light up the LED using weight for almost a minute. To make this system, we used a rear bicycle wheel with hub and DC motor which we welded to rectangular metal frame. During that period, we went to elementary schools to engage kids in engineering and science activities. As a club we participated on Day Under the Oaks (Public Event held by SRJC).

Transferable skills:

Microsoft Office: Used excel Query to plot stress-strain curve during an internship at BamCore and have been using excel in several Physics and Engineering lab to collect data. GD&T and machine shop experience through classes and Internships.

Time Management, Teamwork, Problem Solving, creativity: gained through several team project, classes, clubs, and work experience. Customer service skills at the Mid-level gained through working at Motel 6 as a Maintenance and Night Auditor from 2016 to June 2019.
