Worked as Sr. Chemist in ATHENA CHHATTISGARH POWER Ltd, (SINGITARAI THERMAL POWER PLANT 2 x 600 MW sub critical and Erection & Commissioning). Kharsia, Chhattisgarh, from 16thAprl- 2014 to 12th Augest-2015 (1 year and 5 months).

Worked as Sr. Chemist in GMR Group (GMR KAMALANGA ENERGY Ltd 4 x 350 MW sub critical, Erection, Commissioning and Operation), Kamalanga; Orissa, From 6th Feb- 2012 to 7th Aprl-2014 ( 2 years and 3 months).

Worked as Sr. Executive Chemist (Lab In-charge) in WEX Technologies, L&T 2 x 384 MW (Gas base CCPP Erection, Commissioning and Operation) GMR Vemagiri Power Limited, Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, From 5th May- 2011 to 31st Jan- 2012 (9 months).

Worked as Sr. Chemist (A.V. POWER ASSOCIATES) in NCS Sugars 1 x 20 MW Co-gen Power Plant (100 TPH & 100 kg/cm, 20 m /h DM plant and 30 m /h UF, Erection, Commissioning and Operation), Bobbili, Vizianagaram, and Andhra Pradesh, From Feb 15, 2007 - May 4, 2011 (4 years and 4 months).

Worked as Sr. Chemist in Nalco Chemicals O&M service for GMR Sugars 1 x 16.1MW Co-gen Power Plant, Srikakulam and SRAAC 80 MW thermal power plant Kurnool Andhra Pradesh, From June 1, 2001 – Feb 13, 2007 (5 years and 9 months).

Duties & Responsibilities:

Critical

Oversee and monitor the Plant Environmental, chemical parameters pertaining to CEMS, EQMS, AAQ, water, coal, condensate, ash, oils and ensure they are within the permitted range of plant as per DBR.

Regularly interact with O&M team and the Chemistry teams of the Contractor.

Review and analyse the reports on the Chemical parameters from Pre-treatment plant / DM plant / Effluent treatment plant / Waste water treatment plant, steam condensate and feed water treatment, feed coal & receive coal, fly ash, bottom ash analysis, flue gas, lube oil, LDO/HFO & H2 gas.

Monitor performance reports (including optimization of chemical parameters) of all the systems for any abnormalities / deviation from normal parameters and troubleshooting of specific problems and put up for review to Plant Head.

Assist Plant Manager in organizing and conducting laboratory evaluations and field trials for alternative treatment chemicals (particularly cooling water treatment, DM / Soft water). Responsible for monitoring, upkeep & safeguarding the performance of the Plant equipment by implementing the standards and ensuring the necessary statutory obligations are met w.r.t Environment standards by site staff.

Preparation and implementation of SOPs mentioning the guidelines / procedures on various equipment involving Water Treatment Plant / Effluent Treatment Plant / RO Plant / DM Plant / Coal / Boiler/Stack emission/ETP / Ash and Oil Analysis etc., to ensure smooth performance of the Plant.

Important

Coordinate with the external like PCB(state & Central) & coal mines team and internal teams like Operations, Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance and C&I for maintaining the healthiness of the plant and equipment.

Review the existing practices at Operating Plants and provide the necessary guidelines and inputs for effective and reliable operations with full life of plant.

Responsible to get approval of preventive maintenance charts and timely implementation at site for smooth maintenance activities

Ensure timely availability of analysis reports / equipment to all internal teams at HO for smooth operation of the plant

Others

Acts as the custodian of all the lab equipment at plant locations.

Prepare monthly MIS reports and exception report on site MIS reports, specifically highlighting & escalating (wherever required) the policy related / operational issues to be addressed at the site.
