Industrial Engineer Role and Responsibilities:
• Complete process studies of facility equipment, in order to decrease wastes, improve efficiencies and decrease cost, to improve profitability.
• Implement changes or develop new methods utilized in the manufacturing process to maximize efficiencies.
• Propose process control systems and production planning in order to ensure that products meet quality requirements.
• Consult with management and the development team regarding product specifications, vendors about purchases/installation, and staff about the status of projects.
• Complete data analyzing looking for improvements to cycle times and decreasing the cost matrix in manufacturing.
Environmental Manager Responsibilities:
• Coordination of Timken facility audits and inspections to ensure conformity with permitted requirements from State and EPA regulations.
• Monitor the different facets of Timken’s environmental systems.
• Developing, preparing, implementing and maintaining the Timken Green Initiative (create an environmental path-forward plan).
• Reduce the impact on local environment by pollution control, implementing plans for controlling wastes, removal of hazardous substances and hydrocarbons, management of water in accordance to the legislated and contractual requirements.
• Keep and maintain required registration, documentation and reporting for air, water, storm- water permits, and hazardous generator status compliances.
• Increase the quality of the Timken Springfield green foot print by reducing wastes and finding new ways to reduce, reuse or recycle process waste from plant production. Various Other Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed requirements and specifications for major systems and installations to determine cost, feasibility and benefits, and prepare capital project requests based upon this information.
• Plan and implement the installation of equipment and systems in the plant including requisitioning components, obtaining services of outside contractors, scheduling and coordinating the installation, supervising craftsmen, performing initial start- up and training operators and maintenance personnel.
• Oversee and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Store room inventory management and inventory valuation tracking.
• Purchasing spend validation between CMMS and JDE accounting software.
• Support of maintenance and production through assistance on equipment repair issues. Mechanical Engineering Role Accountabilities
• Perform studies to identify areas in manufacturing environment where an application of engineering technology is required to support production, to meet customer requirements or to yield improvements in quality, consistency and cost.
• Lead team oriented problem-solving groups for manufacturing related problems.

Other Relevant Engineering Experiences
• Lead the integration of a new corporate wide CMMS at the local Springfield facility, moving from IBM’s “Maximo” to “Maintenance Connection.” Develop specialized reports for manufacturing departments and provide continual training of Maintenance Equipment Managers in preventative maintenance and reporting function.
• Implemented maintenance and purchasing management software package to replace outdated Data Stream MP2 software with IBM's "Maximo" TM database.
• Project leader of an innovative belt building line/equipment move to implement Lean Manufacturing ideals to increase productivity and decrease manufacturing costs.
• Supervised transfer of Carlisle Red Wing, Minnesota Plant equipment to Carlisle Fort Scott, Kansas Plant.
• Designed, analyzed cost, and supervised installation of an innovative one of a kind Wrap Molded Belt Build Line.
• Planned, designed, budgeted a one-half million dollar project, to transfer the Distribution Center from Louisville, Kentucky, to Springfield, Missouri.
