Leading day-to-day O&M activities in Ghayathi-Ruwais area (total demand 30MGD).

Working on enhancing water network performance and services Ghayathi-Ruwais which includes pump rescheduling, network modification and attending hidden leakages.

Providing technical assistance and input to Western Region management.

Managing planning water shutdowns (100mm to 600mm diameter).

Review water designs and drawings submitted by contractor against ADDC standards and specifications.

Working on introducing new operation and maintenance technologies (developed in UK) through FEKRAH initiative.

Direct supervision of small projects (less than AED7 million) acting as the in-house consultant.

Participating in studies and multiple projects as the team leader of Ghayath-Ruwais water office, notably:

a) Project 1: Replacement of old pipelines in Western Region

b) Project 2: New Ghayathi development to supply near future demand of 25 MGD

Achievement: Investigated, identified and replaced an isolation valve in a pump station which saved 20,000 Gallons per day and 5% of pumping energy.

Achievement: Conducted a study in an area (10.5 MGD) highlighting the system shortcomings, analyzing the two pump stations performance and suggesting limited modifications to significantly increase the existing pumps efficiency (+15% on average) while paying back via energy savings and maximize assets lifecycle.

Achievement: Managed to reduce the night pressure on Ghayathi City by 1.5 Bar through low cost data acquisition and field study techniques.

Achivement: Succeeded in reducing leakage rates by on 600mm Water Main by 60% by rescheduling pumps to minimize night pressure.

Achievement: Investigated the faults of a series of interconnected Pressure Reducing Valves operating at 10 bar. Analyzed data from site, constructed P-Q curve for each valve, identified system design weaknesses and proposed a new efficient design to minimize leakages and streamline operation.

Achievement: Prepared an emergency plan for long shutdowns for Ghayathi City which increased the stored water reserves, limited affected customers and accelerated the release of accumulated air.

MSc in Water Management Student - 1 year Sep2015 to Sep2016

university of exeter

Exeter, Devon, England, UK

MSc thesis: Dynamic topology pressure management in a practical and cost effective approach. The thesis received distinction.
