The Optus GSM network is planned to be upgraded with the WCDMA technology to launch 3G mobile services. The existing 2G network and IT applications will be upgraded to capitalise the existing investment when migrating to 3G technology. To enable the rolling out of 3G products and services, the current OSS/BSS applications will undergo extensive changes in functionality. The 3G IT test program will validate the OSS/BSS Application Solutions required for supporting the 3G program. The applications and corresponding changes, considered in this SOW are:
Changes to the existing Customer Care/Order Management (CC/OM) applications
Changes to existing Provisioning Applications
Changes to existing Mediation & Billing applications
Customer and Product Migration.
