Experience

MJ Celco—Program Manager 2017–2020

A local manufacturer of metal stampings, subassemblies, and fabricated components for the automotive industry. Product lines consisted of seat belt restraint mechanisms, airbag subassemblies and a wide variety

of brackets & buckles. Secondary operations included degreasing, deburring, staking, welding, E-coat,

and powdercoat.

Responsibilities included tracking all new and existing products from initial kick off phase to release into serial production approvals using the APQP/PPAP/PPEP processes.

Released and closed an average of 12 projects per year through weekly project update meetings with production and quality departments.

Kustom Seating Unlimited—Program Manager 2016–2017

A local manufacturer of seating components and assemblies for the mass transit industries. Seating configurations consisted of a wide variety of mechanical & electro-mechanical components as well as

several types of materials, coatings, fabricated plastic & metal components.

Responsibilities included tracking all new and existing programs from initial kick off phase to release for production approvals using the APQP process.

Use of FMEA/FAIR/GD&T and interaction with Production/Purchasing/Quality departments on a daily basis.

Interplex Daystar, Inc.—Project Manager 2011-2016

A global manufacturer of precision metal stampings as well as insert molded & injection molded thermoplastic components for the automotive industry. Product line consisted of connectors, handles, housings, pins, filters, cases, cover, stamped & die cast subassemblies, press fit terminals, and complex washers.

Responsibilities included tracking all new and existing projects from initial kick off phase to release for production approvals using the APQP & PPAP processes.

Released an average of 10 projects per year while maintaining a minimum of 20 projects at one time through weekly project update meetings.

MacLean Power Systems—Project Manager 2005-2011

A global manufacturer of mechanical and electro-mechanical components and assemblies for the power and utility industry. Product line consisted of pole line hardware, connectors, anchors, clamps, arresters, & insulators.

Responsibilities included tracking all new and retro-fit projects from initial concept/design phase to release for production approvals using the APQP & PPAP processes.

Initiated and implemented two cost saving programs per year, averaging $100,000 to $150,000 in savings.

Interfaced with customers, production, purchasing and customer service on a daily basis.

ITW Engineered Component—Project Engineer 2002-2005

A global manufacturer of injection molded plastic & metal components for the automotive industry. Product line included interior and exterior door handles, window cranks, headrest guide assemblies, lock knobs, armrests, switches, relays, power sliding door modules and cap-less fuel fill doors.

Responsibilities included design, prototype, production implementation for all components and assemblies using the APQP & PPAP process.

Interfaced with production, tool room, sales and customers on a daily basis.

Switchcraft—Production Support Engineer/Project Engineer 1995-2002

A local manufacturer of electrical and electro-mechanical devices for the audio/consumer electronics

and telecommunications industries. Product line consisted of die cast connectors, cable assemblies, power jacks

and plugs, switches, and patch panels.

Responsibilities included trouble shooting current product lines as well as cost reduction ideas and implementation.

Experience with injection molding, metal stamping, cable preparation, screw machine part design,

die cast components, aluminum extrusions, heat staking, ultrasonic welding, as well as a variety of

fastening methods.

Interfaced with purchasing, sales, production and manufacturing on a daily basis.

International Jensen, Inc.—Production Support Engineer/Manager 1987-1995

A global manufacturer of loudspeaker components and assemblies for the automotive and aftermarket industries. Product line included loudspeakers, enclosures, indoor & outdoor mounting systems.

Responsibilities included managing four engineers and a draftsman while supporting current product lines.

Production support included resolving issues with metal and plastic housings, paper speaker cones, ceramic magnets, die cast and injection molded parts, as well as a variety of fastening methods. Interfaced with sales, marketing, purchasing and customers on a daily basis.

Lee Company—Sales Engineer 1985-1987

A global manufacturer of hydraulic/pneumatic components and assemblies for the aerospace and medical industries. Product line consisted of check valves, relief valves, filters, and flow restrictors.

Responsibilities included quoting & selling new and existing products in the Midwest region.
