RE: Letter of Recommendation
Barbara McLaurin
To Whom It May Concern:
I write to give a recommend for Barbara McLaurin, FNP to work in a family practice setting. I have known Barbara professionally since 1993. At that time, I served as the Administrator of Holly Springs Memorial Hospital in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Barbara at that time was an employee working in the Radiology Department as an X-ray tech with her main emphasis on Ultrasound.
Ms. McLaurin was a very dedicated employee working diligently to serve our clientele. We did
not have the luxury of having very many employees and Ms. McLaurin understood the
team effort that it took to meet our obligations of operating a 24 hour, 365 day per year, acute
care hospital. She was a hard worker, willing to accept her role on the team and even willing
to take on extra tasks as were assigned without hesitation or complaint. She was willing to take on the role of teaching and mentoring new nurses and other employees. She taught continuing education throughout the facility and the community. With all the duties she was executing, Ms McLaurin was determined to continue and expand her education in the
medical field and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. She was very involved in improving
the health and welfare of our citizens in our community.
In my capacity as a former Mayor, Mississippi State Senator, Chief-of-Staff to a Lt. Governor and a Governor, I have been asked many times to write letters of recommendation for various people. I have never felt more comfortable recommending someone for a position than I do supporting the application of Barbara McLaurin for employment at your urgent care clinic. You will not find anyone more deserving or willing to dedicate herself to your program and ultimately to the service of her fellowman than Ms. McLaurin.
If I may answer any questions concerning my knowledge of Ms. McLaurin's character or her
work ethic and history, please let me know. I will be happy to cooperate.
Sincerely,
Bill Renick

To whom it may concern,
I am pleased to write this recommendation for Barbara McLaurin. Barbara is a nurse practitioner colleague of mine. I have known Barbara for more than 20 years and have worked with her in both a nurse capacity as well as preceptor capacity.
Barbara and I first worked together in the OR. She was an excellent preceptor and was always willing and eager to share her vast knowledge of nursing with new nurses and techs. Her clinical skills were excellent, and she exhibited a caring nature for patients.
I also served as preceptor for Barbara while she was attending Nurse Practitioner school. Barbara displayed caring and desire to provide quality care for our patients. As a nurse practitioner, one of our main focuses is to provide education to our patients. Barbara dedicated a great deal of time to ensuring our patients received the education they needed. She was also very good to educate our LPN staff so they were able to learn new information which allowed them to provide better care as well.
Barbara has excellent interpersonal skills. She is always a team player and wants to work together to obtain the best outcomes. Barbara also has excellent organizational skills as well as excellent computer skills.
Barbara would be an asset to your team. I would consider her an integral part of any team. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Cathy Wilburn, FNP-BC 712 Hwy 334

To Whom It May Concern,
I am pleased to provide Barbara McLaurin with a letter of good standing and a recommendation for employment. In her position as the FNP at our clinic, (Magnolia Medical Arts) she demonstrated critical skills that would make her an excellent provider and educator.
Barbara did an excellent job in her position and was an asset to our organization during her tenure. She has excellent communication skills, is extremely organized, can work independently, and is able to effectively multi-task to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner. She was a mentor and teacher to the staff at the clinic as well as taught formal classes in the hospital as need arose. She always enjoyed teaching and never misses an opportunity to serve in that copacity.
She was always willing to offer her assistance and had an excellent rapport with the staff as well as the patients that were seen in our office. She would be an asset to any employer, and we hated to see her go, but understood she needed to be with her family at the time. I wholeheartedly recommend her for any endeavor she chooses to pursue and trust her with mine and my family's health. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
