Project Title : National Medi-Cal Encounter Reporting Team (Health Care)

Description:

The main goal of this project is submitting claims (837) files for different plan partners like LA Care, CalOptima, IEHP, Gold Coast Health plan, Virginia and etc. on monthly/weekly basis. And receive responses from Plan Partners (999/277CA) in the form of acknowledgement or errors. Reconciliation will be done, and claims will be resubmitted throughout the month.

Claims, Members and NDC data is extracted from oracle database and Plan partner, EDI (paper claims) other data extracted through flat files using SAS programs to create professional and Institutional files with claims, membership and drug code data and submitted to Transunion to create 837 files.

Responsibilities:

Description:

Stoploss- This project is to support reinsurance (stoploss) in organization and help EMR team. Stoploss reports created and refreshed every month for different line of businesses (Medicaid, Medicare CHPLUS, HFIC, Complete Care, HIXPLAN) with members, claims (Exceeded threshold and eligible for submitting to state) and service lines information using SAS. Development/changes to reports are done using waterfall model and following existing Production release procedure. Stoploss reports are scheduled to refresh every month and Business team uses these reports (excel files) for submitting to state.

Statistics for workday- Purpose of this project is to provide/develop statistics (Utilization, Days, Discharges, Scripts, Visits, Member months etc) for different areas like Service lines, Member months, Dental, Vision, Pharmacy and etc. Data is extracted from SAS DWH and output (SAS Datasets-Lines and Header) created with required columns and formats. These datasets are converted to xml and loaded to workday for financial reporting and submitting to state.

Medical home Automation- Eligible providers’ information along with PMPM amount needs to be reported every month. State provides back payments along with eligible provider information in excel format. This information is merged with required columns pulled form data warehouse and loaded/appended to Medical home tables in DWH. And Medical home, Finance summary, Med county reports are created for current month.

Data is extracted from different sources like NYS roster, CMS MMR data, Healthplex, TMG Facets, CVS/Med impact and etc. tables in Oracle. And integrated, Transferred and loaded as Inpatient, Enrollment, and Medicare and Medicaid Claim inventory using SAS DI Jobs. Need to run jobs every month to load facts and dimensions into data warehouse. All target tables are in oracle.

The other project is to support VNSNY CHHA, developed using BASE and Advanced SAS. There are SAS programs which are scheduled to run weekly to provide data for Visiting nurse services likes Plan of care, visits, schedules, ICD10 etc. Data is pulled from Db2 and oracle and reports are created and exported to Vista plus.

The main goal of this project is to build data warehouse for sales, Territory (Brick) management, Ex-factory sales, wholesaler sales and activity for around 10 European countries like Belgium, France, Norway and etc. Project is planned in different phases. Current phase is for Ex-Factory sales. Data for CNS and IMM therapeutic classes is pulled from different sources like flat files from IMS, Referential files from Business, Financial data from SAP, Supply chain data from visa and integrated using SAS DI studio and loaded into Netezza database. Extraction, Load and transfer (ELT) process is used in most of the cases for efficient performance of SAS DI jobs. Different layers are developed to perform ELT process like Landing and Staging layers-Data is stored prior to integration, Integration layer-Data quality, integration checks are performed, EDWH layer-Needed calculations are performed, Datamarts (DMA) layer- Datamarts are created based on reporting needs.

Open Payments – Developed ETL Jobs to load General and Research Payments (US) from CMS along with Physician information. This data is used by Compliance team to take decisions on Payments.

We extract data from Netezza database and create data mart, develop SAS reports to different sales forces in the organization for market research, S-T-P approach (Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning) and to take important decisions. Reports are created on Adhoc basis to provide information related to Physicians, Accounts, prescriptions, sales activity like calls, details and samples, Drug distribution sales, decile, targets, plan track, weekly xponent and alignments. IMS health provides Rx, Sales data monthly and weekly. All reports are provided in excel format. Other responsibility of this project is to provide data (SAS datasets) different clients like ZS associates, Merkleinc and MarketRx on monthly and weekly basis to support analytics in the organization.

This project keeps track of activities performed by sales representatives on monthly basis. Activity information is displayed at Sales representative, Territory, District, Area, Region an d Division and sleeve levels as dashboards. Activity information includes Calls done to doctors, Dialogues with doctors, Field days, Percentage of call frequency, Count of programs, Count of HCPs attending programs, Brand details and etc. Sales activities are captured in dashboards. There are separate dashboards for Diabetes, MSK (Musculoskeletal), Neuroscience, Men’s Health, Oncology and Cardio sales forces. Activity and Alignment data is extracted from Oracle database using SAS programs. Some information is provided as flat files. These files are exported to SAS. Further metrics in dashboards are calculated using SAS programs and exported to excel sheets. Apart from monthly dashboards, customers’ requests for different reports are considered as adhoc requests and using SAS adhoc reports are delivered to customers.
