Strategic Unit Partner

• Work as the HR Business Partner for Baxter’s Global EHS team to assist in achieving HR related goals and objectives

• Lead the annual talent review process and quarterly employee development meetings for VP and 9 Directors

• Provide support, guidance and input on annual best place to work survey results and action planning, special projects, recruiting, etc.

• Present HR related material to the global team twice per year.

• Train the team on new or changed programs introduced by corporate HR Plant Sr. Leadership Team (SLT) Member

• Serve as plant SLT member representing HR, effectively serve employees under one team one fight pledge, drive strategic planning at plant level to support Baxter operational goals, promote a culture of continuous feedback and transparent communications through various types of employee meetings, foster an environment of open communication, providing multiple avenues for employees to express issues, concerns and/or recommendations for improvement

• Responsible for all human resource functions for a medical device manufacturing facility (375 + employees)

• Oversee the administration of all site leave of absences, payroll, benefits, time and attendance, unemployment claims, etc.

• Mentor supervisors on general leadership skills and HR related processes to help develop leadership and team support skills, providing them with the necessary tools to successfully manage people, build trust and confidence among their team members, conduct effective interviews, etc.

• Provide guidance to people leaders on employee performance, attendance and behavioral issues

• Facilitate annual merit and bonus process, recruiting, new hire orientations, exit interviews, talent review, employee development, special projects, best place to work survey results and action planning, training, etc.

• Implemented a successful, first time inclusion and diversity event for the site, which was well received by all employees

• Lead change champion team to drive action planning and execution of goals based on annual Best Place to Work survey results.

• Represent Baxter in the community by attending Chamber of Commerce events, leading volunteer efforts for the site and attending local and military career fairs
