PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Building Engineer – City and County of Denver (January 2012-March 2020)

Responsible for four city buildings: City and County Building, Police Administration Building, Pre-Arraignment Detention Facility, and District 6 Police Station

All had pneumatic controls to 4 pipe fan coil units; Carrier air handlers all 4 pipe systems fed by DDC controls for valves and dampers

Hot water pumps that transferred hot water converted by steam

Chilled water pumps, chilled water provided by city and ran through flatplate

Chief Engineer - Golden Mardi Gras Casino (2006-October 2008).

Responsible for all facets of building and grounds maintenance, including snow removal, for three casinos.

Supervision and training of maintenance engineering staff.

Interviewing, hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions of department staff.

Scheduling and assignments of staff. Budget management and inventory control.

Capital management.

Strategic goals and objectives of engineering department.

Review and negotiate vendor contracts and services.

Installation of temporary chiller in 1.5 days due to loss of cooling system

Chief Engineer - ACF Property Management (2002-2005).

Responsible for all facets of daily maintenance operations for office buildings and an outdoor shopping complex.

Responsible for all facets of building and grounds maintenance.

Equipment responsible for includes (2) 150 ton Carrier Chillers, (2) 200 ton cooling towers, (2) 100RP Ajax low pressure steam boilers, 70HP Ajax high pressure boiler, Automated Logic DDC energy management system, Simplex automated fire system, and Cummins diesel generator and fire pump.

Developed and initiated preventive maintenance program.

Developed and initiated customer care program.

Installed ECS energy management system.

Executed total room renovation that included remodeling of all guest rooms, as project manager selected contractors and supervised their performance until completion of project and final inspection.

Worked at several properties within a diverse demographic. Began in entry level engineering position performing all basic maintenance duties. Progressed to kitchen and laundry mechanic, and then to HV AC mechanic. Positions entailed a large amount of electrical, pneumatics, and low pressure steam applications.
