I have over 30 years of experience in the infrastructure engineering field. I have knowledgeable in construction project management, best practices, team management and leadership, project planning and management, and training and development. I worked as a senior pavement engineer, senior inspector (MTO approved), tunnel engineer for pipe line and walkway, contract administrator, and site supervisor and has gained in-depth experience in the construction management process, including supervision of personnel, quality and quantity control, public relations, as well as, liaison between owner and contractor. Representative Experience:
Ministry of Transportation, Ontario – Contract No. 2019- 6002, Hwy 527, working as a Senior Inspector for the construction supervision of 3 pipe culverts (diameter 4.6m, 3.50m and 2.5m) and approach roads construction with asphalt. Supervising and daily WBCMS reporting, traffic, environmental reporting and maintaining quality control. Supervising and reporting road protection with trench boxes installation, cofferdam and sheet pilling. Liaison maintain with MTO representative. City of Toronto – 577-599 Yonge Street – Toronto, ON – Pipeline Engineer. Supervised water main, sanitary and sewerage line extension connections with existing mainline of Dundonald Street/Yonge Street. Supervised construction of tunnel 4.5m below road level for sanitary, sewerage, water main and walkway at Yonge Street. Checked invert level of pipes in all manholes. Supervised work as per drawings/City standards. Prepared daily reports with photos.
Ministry of Transportation, Ontario – RWS-16-31 – Highway 12 Improvements – Ontario – Senior Inspector responsible for detailed pavement design review with two major intersections; asphalt mix design review as per MTO standard of Sp12.5, HL3, Sp19.0; and supervision, quality control of asphalt pavement. Supervision of project sewerage line construction ( 1 km) with different diameter pipe, based on design. Prepared detailed report of sewerage line based on video report.
City of Brampton – T2017-002 – Five Pedestrian Bridges Rehabilitation/Replacement – Brampton, ON – Contract Administrator (City approved) responsible for construction supervision bridge rehab/replacement, quality control, daily reporting to City, and site instruction to the Contractor. Also carried out design review, approval of shop drawings, concrete mix design and asphalt mix design. Approved Contractor’s biweekly and one month ahead program, and arranged project biweekly progress meetings, and prepared minutes of meetings. for project; collected samples and produced daily reports for the supervision of 35 km asphalt road (SP) and 48 culverts. Carried out crack assessment of existing asphalt road and verification of sub grade, subbase as per MTO specifications. Supervised cofferdam sheet piling for construction of culverts, maintain environmental and contact specifications. Ashghal Public Works Authority – Doha Expressway Project – Doha, Qatar – Senior Pavement Engineer. Led and successfully delivered all life-cycle aspects of the five major intersections of Doha Expressway Project, valued at USD 700M. Inspected and approved site layering of pavement, asphalt quality certification, review of asphalt mix-design; and created construction working schedule. Prepared bid documents for performance, created construction supervision manual and quality assurance manual, provided technical guidance on all aspects of project management, and approved contractor’s work program for the successful design-build for 52 km of New Dual Carriageway and tunnel. Reviewed and verified all aspects of detailed design, report specifications and contract documents for pavement work, resulting in the successful completion of project. National Road Administration – Reconstruction/Rehabilitation of Seven Bridges
(Litunde and Marrupa) – Mozambique, ON – Resident Engineer/Pavement and QC Engineer. Managed manpower, equipment and material resources to catalyze project implementation for the seven bridges and 67 km of new road. Built, developed, and retained productive teams to ensure high level of efficiency and quality of process to exceed company and client expectations. Reviewed and inspected all aspects of life cycle cost, viable design of pavement, employing best practices, and construction administration and supervision of roads and bridge work.
Ministry of Works and Transport – Construction of Small Bridges, Culverts, Roads, River Crossing Structures – Nigeria – Project Manager/Pavement and QC Engineer. Ensured construction conformed to design and implementation of site instructions for project. Created laboratory standards according to specifications, approved contractor’s work program, construction techniques and materials for the successful delivery of multiple projects.
Ministry of Transportation, Ontario – Highways 401, 404 and QEW – Ontario – Pavement and Geotechnical Inspector. Conducted all stages of site inspection for the timely completion of road works through prompt decision making and control field studies. This resulted in quality written technical reports for clients. Estimated quantities and costs, carried out field investigations, analyzed test results, and allocated resource scheduling.
