ACADEMIC PROJECTS
SMART BASKET – Lambton College (four months)
Carried out an IoT project utilizing ARM architecture (Beaglonebone black) to obtain details of a self-scanned item.
Obtained data from the barcode scanner using protocol UART communication, introducing a weight sensor with connectivity to Beaglebone peripheral.
Developed a user friendling HDMI display which included salient information on items, including pricing and details.
Coded in C++ for the project and was implemented in Linux environment.
SMART HOME (home automation) – Charusat, India (six months)
Designed and created a system controlling home applicances with use of a PIC32 microcontroller and verified C code in MPLAB software.
Performance of specific task was developed by using a GSM module (SIM9000) to send SMS to the system via UART.
System was capable of comparing authentication numbers which was sent to the data Master ZigBee to the Slave ZigBee.
PIC system received data through SPI from Slave ZigBee in order to perform the required task.
