WORK HISTORY
Wildland Firefighter, Washington State Department of Natural Resources, Loomis, WA, June 2019 to present; June to mid-September 2017.
Accountable for maintenance of equipment and fire suppression/prevention methods. Developed leadership skills through acting as tailgunner and working toward Firefighter 1 qualifications during second year of firefighting as a member of the Highlands 20 Hand Crew.
Assistant Rowing Coach, South Kitsap High School, Port Orchard, WA, March to May, 2019.
Responsible for the athletes’ safety while also assisting the head coach and first assistant coach in developing high school rowers for regional competitions and other practice responsibilities including driving the team truck and 60+ foot boat trailer with tens of thousands of dollars worth of rowing equipment to/from practices each day. Adept at facilitating team/athlete conflict resolution. Position ended at the completion of high school rowing season.
Lifeguard, Mercerwood Shore Club, Mercer Island, WA, June to September 2016.
Responsibilities including taking on the responsibility for the safety of the people I was serving, pool maintenance, and opening and closing the pool and facilities. Position ended when university and collegiate rowing resumed.
