UPMC Community Pharmacies is a multifaceted division of UPMC which includes multiple organizations: Chartwell Specialty and Infusion Pharmacy, RX Partners Long-term Care Pharmacy and UPMC Retail Pharmacies (11).

Overview: Provided financial management, revenue cycle, all aspects of accounting including supply chain, accounts receivable, budget generation, general ledger, month-end close, internal and external audits and cash management of 600+ employees across multiple companies with $800M net revenue in 2019.

Key Leadership Contributions:

Business Development: Engineered net revenue growth of 2,000% profitable net revenue growth from 2009 – 2019. Formed Chartwell Specialty in 2009 and grew to $474M net revenue in 2019. Established new initiative to produce pharmaceuticals for UPMC hospitals saving UPMC millions. Implemented, monitored and recorded multiple 340B Contract Pharmacies with $100M in revenue for year 2019. Created and implemented revenue growth and optimization strategies leveraging a combination of data analysis, expertise and customer feedback. Effectively implemented and maintained Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements. Responsible for the development, interpretation, coordination, and administration of the entity's policies and procedures on finance, accounting, internal controls, and auditing. Lead the enhancement and maintenance of financial statements to report by product line and gross margins. Ensured compliance with GAAP and Federal regulatory matters.
