Focused and dedicated licensed Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) looking to build on the experience gained through my practicum with the BC Ambulance as well as several years of experience as a First Responder and Occupational First Aid Attendant. Experience in the DTES working with technically challenging calls gave me insight into managing issues compounded by mental health, poverty and cultural barriers. As a Professional Ski Patroller, I became adept at responding to calls with limited equipment/resources in a backcountry/wilderness setting, which led to improved ability to plan ahead while keeping quality patient care in mind. Recognized for a strong work ethic, high performance, and well-developed interpersonal skills I was subsequently selected to assist in the mentoring and training of staff and volunteers as a Professional Ski Patroller.

Assessed, treated and transported injured guests within the resort boundaries, maintaining second-highest call response (75+ patient transports) in a variety of situations such High Angle Rescue, Cororidantion, implementation, and Execution of Air Evacuations via Helicopters

Informally mentored new volunteers teaching them skills (toboggan rope operational objectives), coaching them in first aid skills and how to interact with patients/families and ultimately signing off on volunteers abilities

Maintain and assess terrain in order to provide safe skiing and riding area in the form of marking and eliminating hazards.
