Oversee all aspects of the design engineering department. Responsible for specifying, concept design, fabrication and commission of custom equipment and tooling for manufacturing industrial power brushes and abrasive products.

tRecent designed workcenter running in production, consisting of two machines, each one with 8 servo controlled axis, that feeds a performed disc from a magazine, also steel wires from a spool and automatically twisting the wires into a brush. The servo controlled electrical system used is Trio controlled and Kollmorgen servo motors and drives. PHD and Festo pneumatics

tAn automatic final assembly machine consisting of 6 station index table, 3 parts feeders, one Universal U5 ROBOT for pick and place the parts from the feeders on the index drive tooling. A high precision 3 axis servo controlled 15 tons hydraulic press that finish the assembling of the brushe. Two vision system are used to orient the parts before the robot pick and place the parts form feeders on the index table tooling. High accuracy system exeeding 0.002 of an inch position repeatability. In line pin stamper unit for part identification. The workcenter delivers a finished product every 19 seconds reducing the labor cost by 50%

tMajor project upgrading manufacturing existing equipment by adding single minute die exchange (SMED) concept for over 200 die set tooling. Conducting 5s audits and “kaisen” studies for continuous improvments.
