Completed B.Tech. Chemical engineering at Erode Sengunthar Engineering College affiliated to Anna University, Chennai with CGPA 8.57.

Completed H.S.C. at Montfort Matriculation Hr. Sec. School, Trichy with 92%.

Completed S.S.L.C. at Montfort Matriculation Hr. Sec. School, Trichy with 91.6%.

ACADEMIC PROJECT

Production of biodiesel from animal fat oil with eggshell as catalyst. The objective of the work is to use calcium oxide (CaO) produced from chicken and duck eggshells as catalysts for biodiesel production by transesterification of animal fat oil. Waste animal fat is considered a promising alternative feedstock for biodiesel production that does not compete with food stock. The physicochemical properties of biodiesel as an alternative fuel for diesel engine were compared with standards for fuel tests. The duck eggshell catalyzed biodiesel showed better characteristics than that of chicken eggshell catalyzed biodiesel.

IN-PLANT TRAININGS

Undergone In-plant training at Perundurai common effluent treatment plant, SIPCOT, Perundurai and gained practical knowledge on screening, aerobic treatment, sedimentation, flocculation, filtration, and Reverse Osmosis.

Undergone In-plant training at E.K.M leather processing co., Erode in Raw stage to semi-finish leather processing section, Semi-finish to Drum dyed crust section, Biological treatment system, Chrome recovery and reuse system, Sludge filtration system and Effluent treatment system.

Undergone In-plant training at Kothari sugars, Trichy and gained practical knowledge on crushing, clarification, filtration, evaporation, crystallization. INDUSTRIAL VISITS

Visited Mysore sandal oil factory, Mysore and gained knowledge on extraction of oil by steam distillation and recycle of used sandalwood.

Visited Anna aluminium Pvt. Ltd., Cochin and learnt the process of aluminium vessel manufacturing from aluminium sheets. PAPERS PRESENTED

Presented a paper entitled “Production of biodiesel from algae-a review” at Kongu engineering college, Erode.

Presented a review paper entitled “Removal of chromium from leather industry waste water” in national conference on emerging trends in chemical and petrochemical technology at Anna University. WORKSHOP ATTENDED

Attended a national level technical workshop on "Curriculum based experimental project" at Erode sengunthar engineering college. AREA OF INTEREST
