Internship four weeks at Automator.

During my internship at Automators, Karachi I had worked in electrical department. I got awareness related to the automating manufacturing processes and designing and development of equipment using automation, instrumentation and control tools. This helped me getting the sense of project designing, project simulation, error indication during project preparation.

INTELLOSTICK-Micro-controller based Master white Cane

Our project is funded by ict r&d this project is intended to tackle the prevalent issues of the complications on account of partial or absolute blindness. The motivation for the project is to aid the visually impaired in the fashion that they could address any hurdle, ditches, spilled conductive fluid and mud without other assistance. This project is the advancement of wired connection, between the stick and the waist pack, to wireless communication with the help of Bluetooth, thus removing the limitation of the specific distance between stick and the waist pack. Its notable attributes comprises of hurdle detection through Ultrasonic sensor, ditch recognition through IR sensor, conductive fluid and mud indication through mud sensing probes, tracing facility through GPS, calling/messaging facility through GSM. The practical assessment of the prototype concluded that it is a great deal more efficient and viable in diverging environments in contrast to the conventional white cane despite being cost effective.
