• Screen and assess patients’ oral health conditions (intra-orally and extra-orally)

• Refer patients to relevant areas as required.

• Remove calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from surfaces of the teeth

• Applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides) and fissure sealants

• Educate patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth-brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
