Ecuador Mission Trip, Construction and Education Volunteer Summer 2017 and 18
Served on a 10-day mission trip in the jungle of Ecuador
Worked with elementary school children tutoring them in English and other academic areas
Built foundations for new buildings, mixing, hauling, and pouring concrete
Learned to work around language barriers to still achieve the tasks at hand
Hiked the Appalachian Trail 2019
Planned, financed, and executed a solo thru-hike, taking 5 months to hike over 2,200 miles from Georgia to Maine
Learned and practiced skills such as problem solving, communication with a diversity of people, outdoor survival, and perseverance to make it to the end
Gained maturity and recognition of what it takes to survive independently through this experience

Achieved the highest rank of Eagle in 2017
