MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER (Powder & cereals) Core Responsibilities

Lead team of 18 electro-mechanical technicians and contractual staff to ensure high efficiency of both Processing and filling and packing lines of powder products during 24/7 operation while maintaining safe and hygienic conditions at an optimized cost. Lead the planned maintenance pillar of Total performance management (TPM) to ensure systematic enhancement of performance, Quality and team competency.

Responsible for Asset Intensity, MTBF, MTBS, UPS, Maintenance Expense, Capex, Maintenance Plans, Work Orders and other key indicators.

Safety is the first consideration, promotes a safe work environment through own behavior & periodic coaching.

Comprehensive Liaison with suppliers and manufacturers for self-designed engineering solutions, spare part procurement and engineering services at competitive pricing while ensuring top quality of work at stringent timelines

Trains maintenance staff on effective maintenance practices, including effective use of AMM, Breakdown Analysis, problem solving tools, GSTD,BDA,RCA,DMAIC, risk and failure analysis, maintenance scheduling, analysis of maintenance related data histories.

Protect the company’s employees through completion of safety related work orders and enforcement of factory safety regulations such as lock out/tag out, Modes of machines, Permits, food hygiene and personal protection.

Composed and executed optimized M&I plan to avoid UPS, maximize asset and spare part life & minimize downtime

Maintain the all plant auxiliaries’ i.e., steam, chill water, RO and Raw water distribution system as per Nestle good manufacturing Standards.

ACHIEVEMENTS & PROJECTS

1. Upgradation of Mill sifters (2Mil)

A design change project to decrease leftover production to generate annual savings of PKR1.5Mio. 2. Installation of Drum dryer safety barrier ($ 3Mil) Safety upgradation of a mode 4 equipment to avoid accidental contact with heated and revolving machine. CLIENT NAME Resume, Page 2

3 Installation of DFG Plant ($35 Mil)

State of the art plant for production and inline dosing of caramel in Nestle Cerelac. Project contains both dry and wet processing.

4. Revamp Dryer hall and high pressure steam distribution ($5Mil) One of kind project to improve overall hygiene of production area, Project included layout changes, zoning and capacity increase of steam supply and condensate return. 5 In house design upgradation of drum dryers resulted in annual savings of PKR 45Mio in production. A very unique initiative with a capacity to be replicated around the globe in every cereals factory. A design improvement that resulted in reducing solid waste production from End plates (800kg/day) generating an annual saving of PKR 45 MIO.

6 Installation of dust collectors resulted in better hygiene and annual savings of PKR 7Mio. 7 Design upgradation of wet mixer resulted in increased Batch frequency generating PKR 8Mio in production. 8 Cereal capacity increase: Installation of 4th drying line of 800kg/hr (2 Billion). Technical procurement and Installation, commissioning of new powder tipping and powder handling, ZL-line

(heat treatment) and slurry production plant.

Installation of new Roller dryer with barrier along with powder handling and Totebin management system.

Installation of MSK tipping line and Fruit crunchy line.

Upgradation of existing Zl line, Oil dosing system and wet mixer.

Installation of independent silo’s for wheat and rice floor.

Installation of new CIP station for DFG, Old heat treatment line and soup distribution system. PROJECT ENGINEER

Boiler house Rationalization ($450Mil)

Installation of a new boiler in a brown field factory alongside the relocation of 02 existing boilers. Design and installation of piping racks and bridges along with relocation of two Bulk oil storage tanks. Fabrication and erection of Boiler Exhaust chimney and Steam Reducing station. Project: Sarai Naurang Oil storage Depot ($168 Mil) Gas and Oil Pvt ltd, Pakistan A classic EPC project with installation base in one of the most remote and hostile location in Pakistan with a capacity to store up to 2.5Mio liters of fuel in underground tanks and 3Mio liters in above ground HFO tanks

Prepared Charter and binding contract for kick off meetings, BOQ’s, Scope of work, Project execution plan, Layouts and detail drawings.

Evaluate Design on API 650, API 653, and UL-58 for underground and above ground oil storage tanks including Canting and decanting units.

Lead a multi-disciplined team in fabrication workshop and onsite installation and erection with Zero Safety incidents.

Lead cross functional meetings, Monitor and control the project to assist Project manager to take important decisions. ACHIEVEMENTS

Generated a savings of 5 Mio in vendor selection with cross bidding.
