To Whom it May Concern:

As you can see from my attached resume, I am a dedicated, dependable, results-oriented and self- motivated professional, with more than thirty years of established successful relationships within the educational, medical and health care industries. I have always tried to conduct myself in a manner that not only represents ethical, honest and professional standards, but one that focuses on the concerns, wants and needs of others. I strive to be the kind of servant leader I would want to work for and to work with.

I believe that leading by example has the greatest influence on people. We lead and teach some by what we say, some by what we do and most by who we are. Leading and teaching involves loving people and building strong relationships with them. During my professional career, I have successfully collaborated and facilitated issues and solutions with broad ranges and diverse groups of students, parents, faculty, education school officials, employees, health care professionals, clients, corporate leadership and co-workers. This was accomplished by being able to effectively develop and maintain on-going positive, interpersonal and cooperative working relationships. As a result, personal mutual trust and respect has been developed and maintained.

Since organizational priorities were constantly shifting, changes in priorities have always been part of my routine. Daily adaptability and flexibility were paramount. The ability to quickly and thoroughly prioritize and organize daily tasks enabled me to complete the needs of my job requirements. Multiple complex tasks were completed on a daily basis by establishing protocol to resolve conflicts, answering questions and providing services in a positive, timely manner. I have proven experience and knowledge in daily compliance effectiveness, procedures, and recommendations for improvement, client service and satisfaction.

Leadership qualities, professionalism, integrity, work ethic and competency were developed and maintained by establishing strong personal system of accountability. Utilization of best practice methods of client service. In order to provide timely education, problem solving and project completion to establish positive academic, corporate and business representative relationships utilization of best practice methods for client service were established. Within the educational environment, daily interaction and regular communication with students allowed me to be a liaison between students, parents and secondary and higher education school officials. I was able to encourage, motivate and inspire students to reach, utilize and exceed their D A V I D G . C H E R R Y

innate potential. By being able to monitor students who were struggling in their classes, not meeting school expectations or ones having personal difficulties, I was able to mentor and teach life skills, decision making skills, study skills and time management skills for them to gain self-confidence and awareness in the classroom and in order for them to be a productive member of society during and upon completion of their education.

Managing multiple projects and being responsible for the market service areas of Mississippi and west Alabama, organizational priorities were constantly shifting. Organization to complete each job systematically prepared me to meet the daily needs of servicing my clients, hospital administration, physicians, clinic staff and insurance brokers throughout the market service areas. As a Program Operations/Client Relations Specialist for Aetna, Inc., I managed key business and industry, physicians and hospital systems as the single point of contact to resolve issues, coordinate strategies and care, manage customer and physician needs and monitor overall coordination of services, while following strict compliance standards. The compliance standards as set forth by Privacy Standards (PHI Protected Health Information) Insurance Standards (HIPPA Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and general Healthcare/Patient Standards as required by the Joint Commission and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMC). I served as the liaison for developing business relationships with Accountable Care Organization’s

(ACO) participating primary care providers (PCP) and their staff. Deployed key performance initiatives which support improved quality performance and measurable reduction in cost of patient care associated with the providers’ participation in the ACO and supported Practice IQ’s business model by maintaining daily contact with providers and clinic staff and utilized best practice methods of client service to provide timely education, problem solving, project completion to establish positive physician relationships.

As a liaison between hospital administration and local industry leadership, facilities were promoted and services to employers and their employees which utilized the Baptist Memorial Health Care system. I established and implemented the programmatic guidelines for the Community Advisory Council that Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporate Headquarters implemented at each of their community locations. I provided service for Baptist Memorial Health Care within the market service areas of Mississippi and west Alabama, including, but not limited to, eight (8) hospitals and numerous independent medical facilities.

After sixteen years as a loyal Client Relation Manager for Mississippi with Baptist Memorial Health Care, Corporate Headquarters, due to budgetary requirements and corporate restructuring, the position was eliminated, resulting in a lay-off. I was offered a position with Aetna, Inc., as Program Operations Specialist for Practice IQ Accountable Physicians of North Mississippi. their national operations, resulting in a lay-off. During my tenure as Hospice Care Coordinator/Business Development for North Mississippi with Southern Care Hospice, I was offered a position that I could not refuse at Community Eldercare Services, LLC, as the Managed Care Specialist and Business Development for Mississippi and Tennessee. Due to budgetary restraints, the position was eliminated and I began my employment at HomeCare Hospice. I was later offered the position of Program Director of Operations at Millcreek of Tupelo and accepted.

I feel blessed with the opportunity to serve and to provide physical, mental, spiritual and emotional needs and dignity to patients by providing support and opportunity to serve and to minister to patients and their family struggling with life-limiting, end of life decisions or those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. I appreciate the opportunity for further discussion and I look forward to hearing from you in the very near future.
