June 2012 – April 2015 Medical Surgical: Following graduation, I began my nursing career on an inpatient medical-surgical floor. I cared for post-surgical, medical, bariatric, orthopedic, and pediatric patients. While on this unit, I lead as a charge nurse and precepted new employees to the unit.

April 2015-April 2017 Surgical Services: When working in surgical services, I was able to care for patients beginning in the pre-surgery area, to the operating room as a circulator, and recover the patient in the PACU. I dealt with high acuity patients, was required to remain calm during stressful situations, and communicate effectively with the OR team.
