Foundry / Casting Operations

Identifying ways to generate revenue through foundry, including commissions, classes and product line. Determining viability and cost of specialized foundry projects including commissioned work.

Responsible for production planning and scheduling for the foundry, pattern shop, and core production.

Managing the foundry workforce daily to best optimize manpower for the current day s molding and casting requirements.

Leverage engineering knowledge to quickly determine the root cause of production problems and formulate the most effective solutions on the fly.

Maintaining foundry by keeping it clean and organized and report damaged or broken equipment immediately

Conducting regularly scheduled casting demonstrations that are advertised to the public, as well as periodic iron pours in conjunction with other events or as special events.

Production Planning & Control

Managing the workmen for achieving the periodic production targets.

Planning & executing the Shop-floor operations.

Ensuring regular preventive maintenance of machine to ensure smooth running in the shift.

Organizing help for the operator in rectifying machine problem at the time of breakdown.
