Description:
Texas conversion project was initiated only for Texas offices where the texas policies were converted to new class categories after the parm effective date. Any renewal terms that is renewed into Texas conversion parm considered as converted policy terms. For this project we had online screen changes to indicate the agent or zones for conversion. we had online and batch program changes to make these requirements effective on Texas.
My Roles and Responsibilities:
● worked on the low level design ( component specification)
● coded the screen changes and program changes
● Created the unit testing scenarios.
● Unit Tested the screen changes and programs
● supported the System test
● Coordinated the issuance (includes technical and functional checkout) Environment:
This project is with mainframe platform where it involved PLI module changes,Screen change (MFS) and some stored procedure changes and we have developed new scratch code using PLI standard Tool utilities:
TSO DB2 MENU- It’s shortcut to BMC utility where you go SPUFI to run the Db2 query and you can go to catalog manager to view the DB2 Databases status,collections, packages and Plan binds etc. TSO FMDB2 - Tool used to query the Db2 table data - EDIT, COPY, VIEW options available TSO SPUFI - We run our own Db2 Query in SPUFI it will access our local tables. TSO Apptune- This tool is used to capture any db2 error that occurs in the application. This tool will be used when testing the IMS or Batch application.
TSO MQUERY- This is Statefarm tool used to update the production table data TSO AUTHID- This tool is used to check the access for the AUTHID TSO ROVR - Used for Deployment activities
TSO BTSTSO- This tool is used to simulate the IMS screen as it is in production. but still we need to allocate IMS databases and set up DB2 binds and PLAN binds as well. SFPLIB- PLI module compilation macros within statefarm. SFLB- it will link the PLI program and creates the load library SFCOBB- Cobol module compilation macros within statefarm SHOWME- Macro for expanding formatted copybook structures. PREP - To review the JCL and looks for any error.

Description:
Within state farm, a policy holder can have different types of vehicles. Earlier to this project all the auto policies were rated in the same category. In order to differentiate those vehicles state farm came up with class categories that determines those vehicle types and policy types. To Simplify the rating this project was kicked by state farm. In this project we introduced many new screens which is subscreens of main EDB QUOTE screens. we had many program changes on this project that includes online and batch programs. My Roles and Responsibilities:
