My name is Taeho or Tae for short (pronounced Tay) and I am an active Certified Physician Assistant currently employed in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine for over 2.5 years. I am writing in interest in applying for Physician Assistant

– Orthopedic Surgery opportunity. I have substantial experience working and serving all types of patients in a variety of settings, including the operating room, inpatient care, ER consultations, and outpatient clinical care. I have the privilege to work in 3 different hospitals, a surgery center and in the clinic, providing all aspects of patient care from medical history taking to patient education, pre-op and post-op management, first-assisting in the operating room, and building ongoing relationships with patients to foster the importance of health maintenance. My current experience at Bay Area Surgical Specialists (BASS) as a PA-C in Orthopedic Surgery provides me the opportunity to perform a variety of skills from closing wounds to making diagnostic interpretations, including orthopedic imaging or lab results. I currently run a parallel orthopedic clinic 3-4 days a week with encounters typically up to 15-20 patients daily, and a high volume of these encounters consists of hands on care, including administering injections. I also assist my supervising orthopedic physician in surgery, typically 1-2 times per week in different types of cases from Sports Medicine to trauma. I also first assisted other Orthopedic Surgeons at hospitals I have privileges at, to continue to work on my surgical skills. At this rate, I believe that I have the attitude to deliver high quality, competent and compassionate care for patients at your practice.
