Executive Summary
My career as an accountant has covered a period of more than 30+ years, most of
which has been in the capacity of a Controller.
I have been employed by both large and small companies; both domestic and
foreign. I can relate the phrase “whatever it takes to get the job done” to my
work ethic and in my approach to my job.
The word “job” is an important one. I am not in search of a position, but a job. I
am a shirtsleeve accountant who enjoys getting involved in the day-to-day
operations.
I consider my strong points to revolve around the experience that I have gained
over the course of my career.
I am available immediately. I will consider working remotely and part time.
Professional Experience
I began working as a staff auditor with Ernst & Young and held jobs ranging from general staff accountant, to Controller, to Corporate Controller, to Vice President of Finance to Chief Financial Officer. I have supervised a staff of one (me), and I have supervised a staff of six. I have been responsible for the closing of month end, quarterly and yearend financial statements and related reports. I have prepared for year end audits for external auditors and prepared closing adjusting journal entries. While working for Boosey & Hawkes, a UK Company, I was responsible for North American reporting functions, reporting for both the USA and Canada. I pride myself as being a problem solver and a cash management coordinator.

I have completed various on line projects such as Text writing, completing month end reports and filing Use Tax reports, designing excel spread sheets for cash management and cash flow analysis and payroll. I have also designed programs for a start up business using QuickBooks as the accounting software.
