Investigating the impact of sugar supply chain problems over the Egyptian sugar shortage crises of 2016

This study investigates the effect of the Egyptian sugar shortage crisis of 2016 on the supply chain of sugar within the Egyptian market and the supply chain problems that was exhibited during the shortage period. This study tries to understand what happens to supply chain when it has been put under stress which in this study is shortage. The researchers also try to identify the supply chain problems that were exhibited during the shortage period. After all information gathered and analyzed, it was noted that there were signi cant changes to the supply chain (production, internal trade(distribution), external trade and consumption) of sugar at the macro level and also there were signi cant supply chain problems that were noted during the shortage period as well as other problems not pertaining to supply chain PERSONAL DETAILS
