Leaders,
While looking for organizations to join after a long career I have come across your organization. The values of your organization and how you take care of your people and their communities speaks to me. I have a passion for taking care of people and their needs while ensuring the organizations goals are being accomplished. I am applying for the position of Human Resource Director.
Throughout my 21 years in the Marine Corps I have been a part of staff sections who set policies and the expectations of goal performance. The Marine Corps has two main goals, mission accomplishment and troop welfare. I have found that the better you take care of your people the better they will perform and accomplish goals. This is also why I started to strive for a leadership degree in management/leadership. I received my bachelor’s degree in 2018 in organizational management and in 2020 my master’s in organizational management with a focus on human resource management.
I am extremely comfortable speaking and briefing top level leadership on daily operations and ideas on how to improve performance. I am also very comfortable leading people in different locations at the same time. I have experience leading like this and it may be hard at times but is very rewarding if done right. This includes managing and developing a team to include succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, total compensation, and inclusion and diversity. As a team we will ensure we are a better organization.
Thank you for your consideration and time. I am excited and motivated to work with you.
Sincerely
John McCrandall
