Project Experience
Senior Design Project, John Deere Gator Sound Reduction, Penn State Fall 2018-Spring 2019
Used sound proofing technology and mechanical part replacement to reduce sound of the engine with various options and construction costs.
Created list of different options to reach goal of project, while presenting cost of each option.
Applied Finite Element Analysis, Penn State Spring 2019
Used ANSYS Workbench for mechanical analysis on multiple 2D and 3D models created within program. Mechanical analysis included thermal stress, stress, and pressure analysis for different case studies, including Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
Bioengineering Applications for Mechanical Engineering, Penn State Fall 2018
Found correct placement of metal plate for a broken femur to optimize healing of the bone.
Created a PID Controller to help ventilate air flow throughout a patient’s body.
In charge of setting up meeting times to work on projects, initial formulas for projects, review progression for various results, and writing report of the project’s results that were found.
Machine Design – Wind Turbine Design Project, Penn State Spring 2018
Conceptualized and designed a braking system to slow down and stop wind turbine blades from rotating.
Composed and followed set of parameters for location of turbine using OSHA regulations.
Additive Manufacturing Lab Spring 2019
Learned uses and implementation of 3D filament. Used knowledge in class to 3D printed objects with PLA and PVA plastic filament.
Worked with Freshmen to create protective base for electric components using a 3D printed part.
