Position: Lab Technician (Quality Control) (Oct-2018 to Oct-2019)

• Performing Sampling and analyzing of Metallurgical-Grade Silicon (Mg-Si), HCl, Trichlorosilane

(SiHCl3), Silicon Tetrachloride (SiHCl4), Chlorosilane, Silane.

• Work as a Shift In charge in Quality Control Lab to manage the shift activities including testing of samples as per ISO Quality systems by using ASTM and IP standard methods.

• Analysis of sludge and scale sampled collected during plant shutdowns or collected from any storage tank and external costumer.

• Analysis of all additives such as Pour Point Depressants and Octane Booster etc.

• Participate in Reformer Plant Catalyst Regeneration testing.

• Treatment of Boiler Blow down Water to comply with NEQS for pH, Total Suspended and dissolved solids, COD and BOD – As Team Player.

• Responsible for analysis of all additives such as Pour Point Depressants and Octane Booster etc.

• Responsible for joint testing with Internal and External customers.

• Responsible for the analysis and reporting of lube oil received from power plant.

Environment monitoring analysis:

• Flue Gas Analysis of the Refinery Stacks Emission using Landcom series II Analyzer.

• Environmental Analysis of the Refinery Effluent Streams like COD, BOD, TDS, TSS, OIL Contents, Temperature, Phenol, Chloride, Iron, Sulphate, Sulfide, pH etc. as per the USEPA and ASTM test methods in line with National Environmental Quality Standards (NEQS).

• Concentration of different gases (H2S, HCL, O3, SO3, Water, Oxygen, and all Hydrocarbons) up to ppm level with dragger tubes.

• Responsible for environmental analysis of refinery which includes plant discharge to atmosphere and in channels e.g. wastewater effluent.

• Analysis of total hydrocarbon in Soil sample by using OCMA 350 analyzer.

• Drinking water testing.

• Bioremediation of Sludge.

• Complete analysis of scale samples.
