SUMMARY
I am an Electrical engineering student with a focus towards Robotics, Autonomous Systems and Firmware development. I have taken courses pertaining to Robotics, Control Systems and Embedded Systems and Real Time Systems in order to give myself the best chance to get involved in the development of robots. I have also undertaken certain projects to put my skills into practice and gain valuable experience.
SKILLS
Programming: C, C++, Python, MATLAB, Java, Assembly, Embedded C, SystemVerilog Technical: Electronic lab equipment, sensors, soldering Others: MathCAD, ROS, OpenCV, LabView, Gazebo, RViz, KiCAD, MoveIt, 32-bit microcontrollers COURSES
Completed: Robotics, Embedded Systems, Control Systems, Real Time Systems, Microcontrollers, Management and Organizational Behavior
In Progress: Robot Dynamics and Control, Autonomous Vehicles CURRENT ACTIVITIES
Undergraduate Research Assistant (Human Dynamics and Control Laboratory, UIUC) Current
Creating Gazebo simulations to help build a mobile robot.
Implementing torque control for motors on ROS.
Dynamic Robot Hopping Leg with 2 DOF Current
Conducting kinematic analysis, studying actuator dynamics, performing open and closed loop simulation to design a hopping robot leg.
Upon completion, next goal is to maximise hopping speed and minimise cost of transport. NannyBot for Robots Developing to Walk Current
Designed mechanical structure to help the NannyBot carry a 5kg robot.
Developing KiCAD PCB schematics consisting of the AtMega 2560 microcontroller and 2 motor drivers to help control 3 geared motors and a servo motor while taking inputs from an analog joystick and a pushbutton. Member of Cricket Club of Illinois Planning Committee Current
Managing the logistics of sending the University Cricket team to travel to the National College Cricket Association National Level Tournament 2020.
Collaborated with members of the committee to put forth a set of rules in which the tournament would be conducted.
Helped schedule the xtures of the league for its smooth conduct.
Successfully resolved disputes between con
icting teams during certain xtures. COMPLETED PROJECTS
Indoor Navigation System for a TurtleBot - National University of Singapore (Research Internship) 2019
Developed map building capability for a swarm of TurtleBots by using LiDAR and SLAM.
Implemented navigation in Python using MPC path planning and control.
Performed simulations with the help of ROS, Gazebo and RViz.
Created starter ROS package for navigation of Ackermann steering vehicles. Reaction Wheel Pendulum and Furuta Pendulum 2019
Developed a controller for the reaction wheel pendulum using SIMULINK and MATLAB to stabilize a pendulum by reacting to a torque from a wheel.
Designed another controller for the furuta pendulum in a similar manner, but used discrete control systems to help the pendulum to balance itself in an inverted position. UR3 Robotic Arm Puzzle Solver With Computer Vision 2018
Implemented computer vision with OpenCV to have a robotic arm pickup objects selected from an image obtained from a camera.
Determined the forward and inverse kinematics of the robot to make robotic arm pick up objects.
Developed an algorithm in C++ to help the robotic arm solve the "Tower of Hanoi" puzzle.
