-Designed and implemented complete materials flow from suppliers to lineside locations in the Fremont factory, for Model 3 and Model Y in Seats and Powertrain production. Developed inventory level by calculating safety stock and cycle stock. Implemented a fulfillment order system and box picking method for 1900 SKUs from external warehouses to factories.
-Managed and continuously improved processes for Model S/X, created work measurement using MOST and standard works for operations’ team. Qualified and optimized manpower and equipment for all production lines with labor content initiatives, saved $1.5 million in 2018, and $819k by 2019.
-Led large-scale projects with cross-functional teams including NPI, GSM, operations, logistics and suppliers on new process development, new system launch and warehouse layout changes. Managed timeline, budget and risks.
-Optimized warehouse layout for 600 Model S/X and 150 Model 3 Seats parts which increased 1200 pallet locations in the warehouse. Changed 11 suppliers’ materials to direct delivery without storage in an external warehouse, saved
$15 per vehicle.
