CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Aircraft Open Discrepancies –

It is an operational tool that provides the Material Planning group with Scheduled Maintenance Bill of Work (BOW) and Bill of Material (BOM). The planners review the exceptions to ensure we have stock at the stations to support the requirements. Without the report/tool the Material planning group has no visibility of Part shortages and can impact the Airline operations.

I developed a product called Open Discrepancies, (ODR) which helps Material Planners, AOG and IOC to forecast on what is required for overnight maintenance and also helps them to forecast Material Requirements and Part Movements for the next 90 days.

To gather this information, I had to tap into multiple source systems ART/ WCMS/FOS DECS/SAP/MAPS which gives them picture ahead of time on

1) What AC’s that overnight at the Maintenance Stations.

2) What Maintenance needs to be performed on these ACs.

3) What Parts/Tools/Materials are required for the Maintenance.

4) What’s the Part stock availability at these Stations.

5) Quantity Filled – Various Parts movements happen throughout the day Inter/Intra Station Loan Transfers and the stations don’t have a clear visibility on where they are and when they arrive. Part Movements are handled differently in AAPICS and SAP systems and I had to implement some complex business rules within the report.

This product was developed using Cognos as the BI tool and had lot of performance issues, which I overcome by using various query optimization techniques that were available on both the Database front and on the BI platforms.

Hourly Maintenance Dashboard –

The Hourly Maintenance Dashboard is used for identification, summarization, and distribution of information about Flight Operations including Delays and Cancels, Maintenance, Minimum Equipment List (MEL), Non-Essential Furnishing (NEF), and Aircraft out of Service (OTS) by fleet.

The Dashboard helped the Senior Leadership to get an overview of the Tech Ops operations and helped them to make some key Business changes.
