Triaged patients, took full histories, performed vitals, reported HPI to physicians, documented patients into EMR system, performed diagnostic tests (e.g. Influenza, Strep, Urinalysis), and fitted casts for fractures. Certification in DocuTap EMR software. Enjoyed working as a team to provide efficient and quality urgent care. I worked 16 hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays to improve my endurance. In addition, I was nominated for the iCARE committee on ‘Emotional Intelligence.’

Paired one-on-one daily therapy with an Autistic-Down Syndrome child using Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) techniques and social skills in an effort to promote early psychosocial interventions and an individual path to grow on. Research and study of Nutritional Neurobiology in humans and Sprague Dawley strain cohort rats; Interests impinged upon gut-brain interactions, autonomic and peripheral nervous systems, taste physiology, obesity and anorexia, and behavioral and diet analysis. Participated in procedural dissections and preservation techniques, mock bypass surgeries, behavioral experiments and data collection.

Took blood pressure and weight measurements, calculated BMI, provided education and extra helping hands for Reno community members.

Organized and trained fellow students for local bi-annual free-of-cost Pediatric Health Fairs each averaging over 80 check-ups.
Performed pediatric wellness exams and check-ups, including blood pressure measurements, vital signs, Weber and Rinne’s hearing tests, ear exams, H-test, visual acuity testing, and lymph node examinations of the head and neck.
As photographer, I loved capturing the moments of compassion and care between students and children.
