PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Adamus Resources Limited (Nzema Gold Operations) Esiama, Ghana Shift Metallurgist (Processing – CIL/ICR, Elution) Sept. 2017 - Oct. 2018 Key Responsibilities
Ensured compliance with reagent addition rates such as lime, cyanide, hydrogen peroxide as determined by the metallurgical technical team.
Conducted daily tanks profiles (six times daily) as well as Gold – In- Circuit before smelting and ensured optimum tank parameters.
Report to the general plant supervisors on ways of improving performance; safety, production and other areas of concern.
Ensured daily calibration of pH and dissolved oxygen meters and Marcy scale. Ensured that my area of operation is controlled in accordance with operating procedures.
Ensured smooth performance TAC online analyzer and daily quick sizing on cyclone overflows to determine grind
Ensured that on-stream instruments (density, weight, D.O and pH meters, cyanide analyzer, TAC 1000 WAD analyzer, auto samplers and the Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS) in the plant and laboratory worked effectively and efficiently.
Used the AAS to read samples at the metallurgical laboratory and ensured daily sample submission to internal and external laboratories.
Helped in performing metallurgical accounting, ball charge measurements and tank dips/silting.
Conducted non-routine laboratory test work and plant investigations when required.
Ensured proper housekeeping standards, stocks and reagents management, environmental compliance and management of samples
Assisted in providing technical assistance training to plant operators in areas of sampling and plant operations monitoring parameters
Implemented process flow changes for maximum metal recovery
Run Falcon/Gravity Circuit and Intensive Cyanidation Reactor (ICR).
Operated Elution section.
