Duke Energy, Plainfield, IN (Project Cost Control) IG Combined Cycle Plant (Jan 2008 to August 2008) Clean Air Coal Plant (>2 Billion) Evaluated AE & CM Capital Budget Proposals by comparing in-house conceptual database to their preliminary design models. Compared conceptual database to Local Contractor’s preliminary bids. Prepared executive summary estimate, reduce CM’s target value and saved Client $350 mm.

Merck Inc., Somerset, NJ: (Sept. 1991 to Sept. 1999) Appropriation and budget estimating, interstate and international, pharmaceutical, chemical, labs, building, and utilities. Responsible for estimating in all disciplines. Worked with client’s CES computer estimating system & ICARUS. Evaluated AE CM, and O&M estimates. Created process parametric estimating models with Success estimating program. Supervised a small group performing cost engineering and material takeoff functions.
