ACADEMIC RESEARCH / PROJECTS

Thesis:

• Implemented finger movement recognition using EMG signals with Neural Networks using Python and Keras.

• Designed algorithm recognizes 5 fingers with 100% accuracy, 12 finger movements with 85% accuracy using a single hidden layer neural network and is computationally efficient.

• Designed a 3d printed robotic hand to interface with EMG recognition software and perform classified movement. Software:

• Developed Depression Assistant Chatbot using Machine Learning in Python. This chatbot identifies sentiment in user’s text with 93% accuracy and if it expresses anger/fear/sadness, it offers a joke to them. This chatbot can help people having a difficult day, feel better.

• Developed Customer Churn predictor using Gradient Boosted Decision Trees (XGBoost) in Python with sklearn and Pandas. It predicts customer churn with 87% accuracy.

• Developed Weather Forecast App using Python and REST API to download data from OpenWeatherMaps, store in MongoDB and show weather alerts and forecast data on Google Maps for desired locations for analytics.

• Designed Audiobook using Python and Pytesseract-OCR that scans PDF text and reads it to user.

• Designed Pose / Text / Car classifier using Intel Edge Computing OpenVINO toolkit.

• Designed Edge Detection app on car’s camera’s video output using Intel Edge Computing OpenVINO toolkit.

• Designed Urban Sound Identification algorithm using 2-D Convolutional Neural Networks in Python and Keras using melspectrogram images of sound clips for Kaggle’s challenge achieving 85% classification accuracy.

• Designed Bike Share Demand Prediction model using Python, sklearn, pandas and Long Short Term Memory
