Duties &Responsibilities
Ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan, Environmental Plan, Work Method Statements and HSE Legislation.
Assist with delivery of safety and environmental toolbox talks to the workforce together with the site supervision.
Identify unsafe conditions on site and in coordination with the Production Team rectify them.
Stop works when there is an immediate danger or hazard to the health and safety of a worker.
Encourage the workforce to work safely and demonstrate good safety behaviour.
Carry out daily site inspections of all welfare and site areas to ensure that safety standards are being maintained.
Advise the Production Team on Safety Matters.
Implement corrective actions for deficiencies identified during site audits.
Perform trainings for site personnel as required.
Weekly inspection of Fire Extinguishers.
Coordinate and organize mock drills such as Emergency Evacuation and Emergency Response Drills as per schedule.
Verify compulsory documents (certificates, licenses...) of heavy equipment, mobile plant and machinery & operators.
Ensure that handling & storage of hazardous substances & goods are done in a controlled manner and in accordance with MSDS (COSHH).
Ensure that hoisting & lifting operations are done as per approved procedures.
Ensure & appropriate PPEs are distributed and used including all personnel of subcontractors and visitors and carry out inspections on regular basis.
To conduct safety training & create awareness to all workers.
Obtaining necessary work permits that is required for the job to execute such as PTW and permit to dig prior to start of excavation works.
Control personnel allocated to the works are inducted, properly trained, qualified and informed for the task to be carried out (including TLM/TBR).
Assist construction team in Green Helmet and IIF training completion target after one month of presence on site.
Attend periodically the ‘Task Briefing’ to evaluate their effectiveness for black belt award.
Make daily inspection to the workers to ensure that they are working within the frame of safety.
Generating formats as required, preparing daily reports regarding safety in the job site
Maintain records on health and safety violation.
Take action against health violations in the site.
Preparation of company accident and incident reports, accidents reporting into the management.
Provide solution for employees heat stress.
