THE 3M COMPANY (BIOTRACE) (ULTRASOURCE) 1995-2008

Vice President Sales & Marketing · (2003-2008)

Boosted Biotrace annual sales by $28M through cross-functional team leadership as part of double-digit growth over 5 years through a strategic operational turnaround. Netted a 17% profit increase through skilled cost control and staff consolidation. Won the attention of the 3M Company, which ultimately purchased Biotrace in 2006 to shore up its Microbiology division. Negotiated multi-year contracts with such high-profile clients as Coca-Cola, Kraft Foods, Pepsi-Cola, Cargill, Tyson’s Foods, as well as a host of industrial customers in the water industry. Crafted a counteractive strategic plan to convert $3.5M in sales from a distributed to a direct basis after learning of a U.S. distributor’s creation of a similar product.
