Manager, Events April 2018 – present

Directed running events that range from 500 to 60,000 participants including the AJC Peachtree Road Race (the biggest 10K road race in the world with over 60,000 finishers) from pre-production (acquisition of permits, creation of participant e-mails and event website, and site planning) through load-out of event to successful completion.

Hired, trained and managed upwards of 50 to 100 volunteers and 10 to 20 staff at events.

Sustained clear communication throughout the race planning and execution process with internal cross- departmental staff and externally with city agencies (police, fire, mayor’s office and medical officials) and sponsors.

Conducted RFPs, made decisions to hire and maintained relationships with vendors and contractors for events.

Sold booths to upwards of $150,000 revenue and managed the creation and activation of the America’s Marathon Weekend Experience for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon (with over 30,000 attendees over the two day show) and the Peachtree Health and Fitness Expo (with over 60,000 attendees during the two day show) from pre- production through load-out.

Manager, Event and Entertainment Production July 2015 – March 2018

Commanded all aspects of production (sound systems, stages, course entertainment, announcers, anthem singers, scripts) with budgets ranging from $20,000 to $300,000 on major events including the TCS New York City Marathon (biggest marathon in the world with over 50,000 finishers), New Balance Fifth Avenue Mile (biggest road mile in the world with up to 10,000 finishers), Brooklyn Half Marathon (biggest half marathon in the US with over 28,000 finishers) along with 40+ others.

Produced the TCS New York City Marathon Opening Ceremony presented by United Airlines with fireworks presented by Poland Spring with a budget of upwards of $500,000, 50 staff, 200 volunteers, 3,000 participants and 4,000 spectators and televised on WABC New York City.

Created and implemented sound program for over 50 events a year which included hiring vendors for sound systems, music playlists, entertainment and music licensing agreements.

Oversaw the hiring, training, management and scheduling of 10 to 20 Announcers and 40 Anthem Singers.

Conceived, trained and managed 30 event leads in a Script Drafting Process which included production timelines, run of shows, sponsor reads and legalese, Stage Management Program and Course Entertainment Management Program.
