Roles & Responsibilities:

To analyze the incident tickets and respond to business queries for the transactions queued through online / processed through batch. Also, Provide solutions and design for any deviations from expected results. Worked with senior management to interpret and analyze complex and unstructured business problems and recommend solutions.

Incase of financial impact to customers, actual gain/loss values are computed based on the transactions, Unit price for a certain impacted period and the values are adjusted after the approvals from the senior management. As part of the production support, new modules are written to handle such requests.

Ability to multi-task work across the different applications. Diverse work experience with different functionalities of the application, with Development and Production Support projects in JCL, COBOL, VSAM, IMS, DB2.

Analyzed complex modules and found the existing bugs in the application. Created the technical & functional design, estimation and efforts to address the business issues.

Analyze the business requirement and create technical and detail design specifications for the Online and Batch systems. Development of programs, transactions and jobs using JCL, COBOL, VSAM, DB2, CICS.

Designed and created new generic batch and online application interfaces for Held-Away Account Navigation, Online Banking & FDIC Bank list applications. Generic design helped the application to be reused for multiple banks with minimal changes.

Estimated project cost, feasibility and proposals for senior management and executive decisions on large complex projects.

Worked on top CPU consuming jobs for performance tuning and have done a signification reduction in the CPU by reducing the MIPS & TCOA savings. Have also done job tweaking to make sure the system does not miss SLA.
