SMART Operations Board & Reporting

The SMART Operations Board replaced a paper system started circa 1950 that scheduled City tasks, employees, equipment, and routes throughout the five New York City Boroughs. The manual process required inordinate number of calls to initially organize and continuously adjust and lacked the ability to electronically capture and report data.

SMART was resurrected from a defunct 7-year effort and ONLY after a short 6 months of Agile development was rolled-out City-wide for thousands of users. The second year, drastic technical architecture improvements were made that provided users millisecond response, immediate access to information, integration with multiple City systems, and complex and rapid reporting with newly established drill down and dashboard capabilities.

Provided Program level management and direction in the following complex project activities: Infrastructure build-out and upgrades of 20+ dedicated environments, reporting technical architecture rebuild, business analyst / development / QA / UAT activities, data governance, data strategies, integration / connectivity, training, Go-Live planning, City-wide roll-out activities, and program level procurement of 30+ products & vendor services
